Super Light Weight Drone.

The Parrot Bebop Drone is feather-weight at only 400g. The body is built in an ABS reinforced structure. This drone can take a lot of beating because when it collides for a crash land, the propeller stops working to protect it.

Just like many drones, this baby can return home on its own using GPS tracking.

Parrot Bebop Drone Review

Powerful Computer

Parrot claims that the Bebop’s onboard computer is eight times more powerful than the AR.Drone 2.0. because it uses a P7 dual-core CPU and a Quad-core GPU plus an 8 GB Flash Drive. Nuts, eh?

The drone’s main brain (computer) is also protected with a magnesium built shelf that acts as an electromagnetic shield and radiator.

Not to mention the Parrot Bebop Drone has it’s on Wi-Fi hotspot using a Mimo connection that’s two dual-band antennas to handle 5GHz MIMO frequencies. This is now turning into nerd talk so I’ll stop it here. The Parrot Bebop Drone website has all of these rocket science details you can nerd on at your own expense.

Stable Flight

The Parrot Bebop Drone tracks its surrounding data in flight and analyzes them using its powerful onboard computer to give this drone optimal stability. So even if it’s a windy day, you can be sure the Bebop will handle it just fine because it can automatically adjusts to the turbulence.

And for more rocket-science talk, if you really want to know how the Parrot Bebop Drone is able to do these complex maneuvers. According to manufacturer, the Parrot Bebop Drone uses 3-axes accelorometer, magnetometer, ultrasound sensor and a gyroscope. It also has a vertical camera that tracks the drone’s speed.

Fisheye Lens Correction

Ah yes. If you’re drone can not go high enough to get wide areal shots of the beautiful view, then you definitely need to use a fisheye lens. However, the image gets warped like looking through a fishbowl. Fortunately, the Parrot Bebop Drone has a lens correction that straightens the horizontal lines to make the image look like it was shot on a pro lens.
